The attachments will help Wyoming Episcopalians proactively move towards reopening church buildings including offices, parish halls and worship space. Outreach programs and ministries such as AA and NA, thrift shops, food pantries and similar uses must also follow these procedures before these activities will be allowed to resume in any church-owned or operated facility.
Please work with your designated diocesan staff liaison to step through the guidelines and checklists.

We are hearing about the love-spreading ways our churches have distributed the March 26th $10,000 awarded from the $1 million granted by the Foundation of the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming. Your stories of ministries in support of relief for those negatively impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic in church communities and in the community beyond the walls of churches have been inspiring and even life-saving. We commend the Christ-like “love of neighbor” shown in discerning the most pressing needs and how churches have acted with generosity and care.
If one or more of the critical ministries funded and implemented would benefit from continued support, now is the time to submit a request for a “second round” of funding. No automatic allocations will be made this round – a written request from the church is required.
I want to remind you that we are a community who seeks to serve. Let us continue to participate in the life and grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the healer, and help our brothers and sisters in need as they continue to face hardship due to this persistent pandemic.
Your Brother in Christ,
The Rt. Rev. John Smylie

God of resurrection and rebirth, pour out your blessing on the Search and Transition Committees, and each person who is in the process of responding to the call to Bishop of this and every other diocese. These peculiar times are in your hands. Help us to welcome new life and leadership into the cold spring wind, the deep brown of turned fields, and in our quiet, empty streets that we may remain a witness to your unchanging, powerful love, in the name of the one who shelters and heals, Jesus Christ our risen Lord. Amen
